Our little buddy is doing well. He had a good night, and continues to improve. His morphine allotment went down this morning, which made him a little more active, which is encouraging to see, and he even opened his eyes while we were there. He's gained about three pounds of liquids, which is to be expected with all the medications, so we're hoping that will start to drop again... the less swelling the better. Today will probably be another day of waiting for news, as he isn't really out of the woods yet. Thanks for all of your prayers and encouraging comments.

Our friends and family are praying for you here in New Zealand. Thank you for such detail. We are grateful for the quick updates, so we can continue to pray for Mitchell. It is a very tiring time for you all, but pray you will get some rest too. The photos have been great. The photo of Jon and Bethany holding Mitchell was priceless.
What a fortunate boy to have such good doctors and nurses and to have such super parents, too! Jon and Bethany, you are in my prayers as much as your son because I know you are struggling more than Mitchell is -- he just lays there and looks cute, but you two are carrying a heavy weight! Hang in there and know that you are held up by God's "everlasting arms".
